Our Team

Andrew Tullis

A 5th generation Texan whose family settled in the Republic of Texas, Andrew is Texan through and through. With a long family history of farming and ranching in south Texas, he has always had a love for agriculture. Just like his grandfather, he received his degree in Agricultural Engineering from Texas A&M University. After serving the oil industry as a Petroleum Engineer for 25 years, he now uses his college education and unique skillset in the Lonesome Vine vineyard. Transforming the land and building a supportive ecosystem for their interloper vines is his passion. As a proud Texan he is bound and determined to do it better than that other state known for growing grapes and making wine. Kristi claims he is also a “serviceable” assistant wine maker and cellar rat!

Kristi Abrahamson-Tullis

With a long family history of farming, Kristi always had a desire to one day continue the legacy. After 20+ years in education and marketing, she decided to pursue a career in wine making. She went from couture to Carhartts and attained a degree in Viticulture and Enology, completed 2 internships at a highly esteemed winery in Paso Robles, CA and another internship with a distinguished, well-known Texas winemaker in Hye, TX. A lifelong learner, she plans to continue her training and education in an ongoing basis. Kristi enjoys the creativity of wine making and feels how truly rewarding it is to see the fruits of her labor embodied in each glass of delicious wine.

Nathan

A dedicated, hardworking young man that pays attention to detail and is always willing to learn new things. He shirks no task no matter the hardship. Although his aspirations are to study engineering, we are working hard to persuade him to consider the field of viticulture and enology (especially with Lonesome Vine!). Nathan would be a perfect fit for the budding Texas wine industry in need of the next generation of passionate growers and wine makers. Either way, he has the skills and dedication to succeed no matter the occupation and we are proud he chooses to work with us.

Jeremiah

The latest addition to the Lonesome Vine Team, Jeremiah is also just as hard working and dedicated as his predecessor. Considering his desire to enter the medical industry, not only will we benefit from his support in the winery laboratory, he will also gain invaluable insight for his healthcare career. His future is bright no matter what road he takes. We greatly appreciate the time he dedicates around his demanding schedule. Jeremiah’s contribution is invaluable to the success of the Lonesome Vine vineyard and winery.

Deets, Head of Vineyard Security

At just a few weeks old, Deets squeezed through the game fence at the Tullis Ranch to surprise the then weekenders, Kristi and Andrew, who were staying in an RV at the time. Apparently dumped by some coward owners, Deets and his sidekick couldn’t be turned away and have proven their ability to earn their keep.

Gus, Sidekick

Frustrated by many attempts to follow his brother through the game fence, Gus finally made his way in. Sweet and loyal yet often jealous of his brother, Gus excels in sniffing out predators while Deets escorts them from the premises.

Blue, Chief of Rodent Control

Newt, Assistant Rodent Assassinator
